bio:
Slim Media Player is Sam Rutledge, a producer and DJ from Vancouver, BC.
He turned heads with two tracks on Pacific Rhythm's Rhythms of the Pacific Vol. 3 (2016), then went weird on Quilchena Tracks (Isla, 2017), an album-length cassette elegy for Vancouver's paved-over Arbutus rail corridor. Since then; the certified underground classic "ELASTIC" with ZDBT and Prado....and edits, remixes, and records for Planet Euphorique, Echovolt and Weirdos Inc.
He's played MUTEK, Bass Coast and New Forms Festival, and holds down Vancouver rooms alongside Palms Trax, Anthony Naples, Call Super, Jay Tripwire, CZ Wang, Bradley Zero, Hashman Deejay, Yu Su, Florist and Interstellar Funk.
Good, strange fun.
